Cordialement

Born of a fusion between Pontault-Combault in 1839, Pontault-Combault followed the classic evolution of the pavilion subdivisions in the outskirts of Paris. The first housing projects were built in 1904. In 1954, Emmaüs had a basic subdivision built, which was called the Quartier des Marguerites. At the end of the 1960s, a “little housing development” was built in the city centre.

The 2056 hectares of green spaces in the Forêt Domaniale de Notre-Dame are the perfect place for a pleasant walk with your partner or family. Numerous well-marked pedagogical trails offer the chance to discover the local flora and fauna. In particular, you can enjoy the tree trail, a 3.2-kilometre loop.

During your stay in Pontault-Combault, you can visit the Eglise Saint-Denis (13th century); the Evangelical Lutheran Saint-Mathieu church; the Château de Combault, which is now the seat of the city hall; the Château Candalle (which is now home to a school); and the Château de Bois La Croix. Take advantage of your relaxing weekend to visit the Centre Photographique d'Ile-de-France.

A range of events are organised throughout the year in Pontault-Combault. Each July, the Festival international du 1er Court-Métrage showcases young talents. Activities for adults and children are held all summer long. In September, you can find great details at the flea market!
