Located in the historic center of Florence, in the thirteenth-century Torre Rossi, and just 5 meters from the Ponte Vecchio, the Hotel Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio is the ideal starting point to visit Florence and discover its artistic and cultural heritage.

The 4-star hotel is just 3-minute walk from Piazza della Signoria, which houses the Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. With a walk of only 500 meters you can reach Piazza del Duomo, where the Baptistery of San Giovanni and the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore rise, with Giotto's bell tower and Brunelleschi's Dome.

With just 300 meters of walking it is possible to reach the Pitti Palace, formerly the Medici's residence, which is now the site of a museum complex that houses the Palatine Gallery, the Gallery of Modern Art and the monumental Boboli Gardens, one of the most important examples of Italian garden.

The Florence Santa Maria Novella railway station is only 20-minute walk away. Along the promenade that runs through the historic center of Florence you can admire the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella.

Great location to explore Florence

Fab location for exploring the city and Oltrarno. Comfortable rooms and the terrace is wonderful for outside eating and drinks. Breakfast service was a little slow at times due to COVID.

Vacanza indimenticabile

Gutes Hotel sehr gute Lage

great location, room was ok but bed was cheap and uncomfortable, nice view at breakfast

I booked a "superior double room", which turned out to be fairly small but was adequate. Decor is ordinary mass-market hotel style. Air con was temperamental but did work (v. important for Florence in August). What I liked: great central location, friendly and helpful staff, covered roof terrace for breakfast with great view of the nearby Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio, truly delicious cappucino. What I didn't like: above all, the primitive and lumpy bed. The base was made of two cheap units (each just consisting of a sheet of plywood on a metal frame), placed side by side to make a double bed, with a mattress on top. The result is an uncomfortable raised bit in the middle, and sagging bits either side. I'm afraid that this was enough to make me reluctant to stay here again, and it is ridiculous to find a bed like this in an hotel which claims to have 4 stars.
