Discover the impressive Mannheim Baroque Castle! The historic site is one of the biggest Baroque monuments in Germany. The most significant religious building in the city is the Evangelical Christus Church. It was built in 1907 in Art Nouveau style, to celebrate the city’s 300-year jubilee. The architectural style of the building is evident in the reliefs above the main door and the gables above. Particularly impressive are the figures of the 12 Apostles, which feature on the dome of the tower. The symbols of the four Evangelists are placed on the four spires of the tower. At the top of the church stands the gold statue of Archangel Michael, which can be seen from afar.

Relax in Herzogenried Park! Relax in the rustic model garden, in the magnificent rosarium, along one of the many shaded, tree-lined avenues, at the park lake or at the Kneipp basin. If you prefer to be a little more active you enjoy chess, table tennis, trampolining and much more. For younger visitors to the park, there is lots to do. A water play park, a rope circuit, a cave maze and an animal enclosure are all on offer.
