The capital, also known as the city of seven lakes and forests, houses excellent examples of Romantic historicism. The Schwerin Castle is particularly impressive; for centuries it was the residence of the Dukes and Grand Dukes of Mecklenburg, and is now the seat of the state parliament of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Our newly renovated B&B Hotel Schwerin-Süd is located very close to the seat of government, and is the perfect starting point for a business trip or short break in Schwerin.

The hotel is not too far from Hamburg Airport and Hamburg city center. Both destinations can be reached in about 1.5 hours by car.

The city of Schwerin levies an "overnight tax". The tax applies to all guests staying in the city overnight in a private capacity. The tax is set by the city of Bremen and amounts to 5% of the accommodation costs. Business travelers are exempt from the tax. Appropriate proof/documentation of business travel must be provided during check-in. The hotel must forward the collected tax to the City of Bremen and show the documentation the guest has provided.
