The train station is 600m away from the hotel, making it as easily accessible as the university, which is 500m away. The market square with the famous Gänseliesel is about 1 km away from the hotel.

Das Hotel befindet sich in unmittelbarar Nähe zu Universität und Innenstadt, daher für Konferenzteilnahme oder Urlaub bestens geeignet. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Der Service freundlich. Der Preis moderat und der gebotenen Leistung entsprechend. Die Lage erlaubt Ihnen ein unverfälschtes Bild von Deutschland zu bekommen. Die Nachbarschaft sind Güterbahnhof, Gasballon und Finanzamt. Natürlich hört man manchmal durch das offene Zimmerfenster einen Güterzug quietschen, aber das ist ein gutes Geräusch, es ist das Geräusch von Menschen in Arbeit. Den Kunden des Finanzamts sollte ihr Mitgefühl gelten, auch Sie werden dort um ihren letzten Cent erleichzert werden. Seien Sie vorbereitet Trost zu spenden, haben Sie ein Taschentuch bereit für die Dame, etwas Geistvolles für den Herren. Verweisen Sie auf die schönen Dinge im Leben die Geld nicht kaufen kann. Und freuen Sie sich an der Energiewende teilnehmen zu dürfen, Gasmangellage zum Anfassen. Doch gibt es zwei kleine Unschärfen im Bild. Die Qualität der Backwaren zum Frühstück ist eher Supermarkt als Bäckerei. Wie wäre es mit der Lieferung durch einen lokalen Bäcker? Sie würden das lokale Gewerbe unterstützen, Auswahl und Qualität wären hervorragend. Die nach vier Tagen angeforderten Handtücher vor der Zimmertür zu finden spricht für die Effzienz des Zimmerservice; ich aber erwarte mir die frischen Handtücher im Bad.

Directions to Hotel Göttingen City

From the A7: Exit 72-Göttingen-Nord towards Göttingen-Nord/Bovenden/Duderstadt, take the right lane to the B3 exit in the direction of Göttingen-Lutteranger/Northeim, continue on B3, turn right onto Im Rinschenrott, continue straight on Maschmühlenweg, turn left at Hildebrandstraße - the hotel is on the right after 240 m.

Alternatively A7 from the south: Take exit 73-Göttingen, turn right towards Göttingen-Rosdorf on B3/Kasseler Landstraße, then left onto Bahnhofsallee, right onto Maschmühlenweg - the hotel is on the right. 

Bus/Train: from Göttingen main station about 750 m walk, or regional bus 185 towards Ebergötzen to Platz der Göttinger Sieben (University), 350 m walk to the hotel.
