The B&B Hotel Köln-West offers a comfortable stay at an affordable price with complimentary extras. Located in the Frechen district, our hotel offers convenient links to the motorway, making it ideal for business travellers. We recommend that you take a stroll along the Schildergasse, before admiring Cologne’s cathedral and taking in the charm of the Old Town.

Location

The B&B Hotel Köln-West can be reached by car via the Köln-West A1/A4 motorway junction. The hotel is located 25km from Köln/Bonn Airport, around 12km from the Köln/Deutz conference centre and 9km from Cologne’s city centre. You can reach the city centre in just 20 minutes with regional train number 7 (direction Zündorf). The hotel is ideally located for business travellers and weekend visitors alike. It is just 4km from the RheinEnergieStadion football stadium and just 25km from Phantasialand, one of Germany’s biggest theme parks. Please check the directions by entering our postcode into your GPS system.

Facilities

Make yourself at home in one of our 105 modern single, double or family rooms for up to four people. We are able to provide rooms suitable for guests with limited mobility. Our rooms each have a desk and flat-screen TV. Comfortable beds and a high quality fitted bathroom with a shower and large mirror complete the pleasant ambience. Alles TipTop und nett

Beim Check in alles super nett trotz das wir nur eine Frage hatten, weil wir online eingecheckt haben. Unser Sohn wurde von der netten Dame wie ein König behandelt ;-) Zimmer waren gut und sauber sowie modern eingerichtet. ( bis auf die Duschtür, es war trotzdem vor der Dusche alles nass). Frühstück war ausgiebig, es war alles das was benötigt wurde, Nix gehobenes aber völlig ausreichend. Am besten hat uns das frische Obst gefallen ;-)

Getting to the hotel 

By car:

From Aachen take the A4 to Köln-West junction (10), from Düsseldorf take the A57 to Köln-Nord junction (28) and then follow the A1 direction south to the Köln-West junction (10), or from Frankfurt take the A3 to Köln-Heumar junction (28) then A4 to the Köln-West junction (10). From here take the A1 direction south and then exit at the first junction on the B264, then turn immediately left onto Max-Planck-Str.

From Koblenz take the A61 to Erftstadt then A1 to Köln-West junction (104), take the exit direction Frechen, at the traffic lights continue straight ahead on Max-Planck-Str. until the roundabout, take the second exit and continue on Max-Planck-Str. for approx 600m, and the hotel is on the left hand side. There are parking spaces directly outside the hotel.

Bus/train: From the main train station, take the U-Bahn 18 or 16 direction Bonn to Neumarkt, then continue above ground with tram number 7 direction Frechen to Köln-Marsdorf, then on foot for 1km via Horbeller Str., left onto Dürener Str., and take the first right into Max-Planck-Str. The journey takes about 45 minutes.

Turistična taksa

From 1 July 2024, the City of Cologne's overnight accommodation tax will apply to all forms of overnight accommodation, regardless of whether the overnight stay is absolutely necessary for business purposes or not.

It is no longer necessary to provide information on the purpose of the trip when checking in using a form

The tax rate is 5 per cent on the price of the overnight stay.

There are some exceptions. The following are exempt from taxation:

  • People who are dependent on temporary accommodation in an accommodation establishment because they have lost their home due to fire or water damage, for example.
  • Refugees who are assigned accommodation in accommodation establishments.
  • School trips authorised by the school management

Overnight stays of persons due to medically necessary treatment and necessary accompanying persons upon request.
