In the south of Germany, not far from the French border, lies the town of Freiburg im Breisgau. The historic old town is particularly popular with visitors. A tour of the 16th- Century cathedral, the old town hall and the city gates should not be missed. B&B Hotel Freiburg-Süd is 10 minutes from the old town. The countryside of Breisgau has lots to offer. The numerous vineyards are great for walking and cycling tours.

B&B Hotel Freiburg-Süd has an ideal location – whether you’re travelling by car or by train, on a city break or a business trip. Within a 5 km radius, you can reach the motorway, the main train station, the city centre and the trade fair.

From the beginning of November 2025 to the end of April 2026, we will be making our hotel even more beautiful and comfortable for you. Unfortunately, this cannot be done without renovation work. Für eine Übernachtung war es völlig ausreichend, da das Hotel renoviert wird. Es war ein sehr geräumiges und sauberes Zimmer. Direkte Anbindung an Bus und S-Bahn.

Ich habe nur eine Nacht im Hotel verbracht bzw. bin erst morgens wieder zurück gekommen. Ich konnte ganz einfach Late-Check-Out hinzubuchen. Allerdings wurde mir einmal per E-Mail und auch vor Ort gesagt, ich könnte bis 15 Uhr auschecken. Also habe ich mir einen Wecker auf 14 Uhr gestellt und es wurde im selben Moment an die Tür geklopft. Ein Mann vom Zimmerservice (was er zu Beginn auch nicht kenntlich gemacht hat), hat mich gefragt, wann ich auschecken möchte. Die Kommunikation war etwas schwierig, da er mich weder auf Deutsch, noch auf Englisch verstanden hat. Ich sollte dann auf seiner Armbanduhr zeigen, wann ich gehen werde (14:30 Uhr). Das habe ich gemacht und er ist gegangen. 15min später kam er mit einer Frau zurück, welche besser Englisch konnte (ich war auch im Stress meine Sachen zu packen und mich umzuziehen). Sie hat gesagt, 14 Uhr müsste ich schon weg sein. Worauf ich gemeint habe, an der Rezeption hieße es 15 Uhr und sie soll es unten abklären, aber nicht mit mir diskutieren und mir so einen Stress machen. Das war eine ziemlich unangenehme Situation direkt nach den Aufwachen so überrumpelt zu werden. Nichtsdestotrotz war das Zimmer und das Hotel in Ordnung für eine Nacht. Online Check-In ging auch ganz einfach.

Es war toll. Die Baustelle hat etwas gestört, aber das habt ihr ja auf der Homepage angekündigt. Das Bett ist sehr gemütlich. Gute Matratze, was für mich das Wichtigste ist.

Directions to Hotel Freiburg-Süd

From the north A5: Take exit 62 Freiburg-Mitte towards Freiburg on the B31a, exit towards Freiburg-St. Georgen/Freiburg-Rieselfeld and drive along Besanconallee, turn right on Munzinger Straße, after 80 m turn left to the B&B Hotel Freiburg-Süd.

From the south A5: Take motorway exit 63 Freiburg-Süd, follow the B31 towards Freiburg-Süd Tiengener Straße, at the roundabout take the first exit and via the slip road Donaueschingen/B31/FR-Stadtmitte follow the B3 to Besanconallee, take the exit towards Offenburg, turn left into Munzinger Straße, after 80 m turn left to the hotel.
