Rules of the contest "ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team bike contest" August 2025 (Switzerland)

Article 1: Organizer and Contest Duration

The organizer of the contest is B&B HOTELS SWITZERLAND GmbH, a limited liability company under Swiss law. Its registered office is at Cours des Bastions 5, 1205 GENEVA, c/o Olivier Brunisholz, lawyer, and it is registered with the commercial register under the number CHE-422.607.448.

The contest is titled "ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team bike contest" and will select winners by a random drawing. 

The contest will run from September 4, 2025 at 6:00 PM to September 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM.

The official rules can be downloaded from the organizer's website at https://www.hotel-bb.com/en/promotions/france/contest/rules and are available for the entire duration of the contest.

 

Article 2: Conditions of Participation

2.1 Eligibility

This contest is open to any adult residing in Switzerland, whether they are a B&B HOTELS customer or not. To enter, participants must sign up for free by following the instructions on the contest's Instagram post on the official B&B HOTELS Switzerland account. The organizer reserves the right to verify the identity and contact information of all participants.

The following people are not eligible to participate:

  • Staff members, directors, shareholders, and their family members from the organizing company10.
  • Management companies and franchised B&B HOTELS companies.
  • Anyone directly or indirectly involved in the organization of the contest.
     

2.2 Entry Requirements

To be considered a valid entry, participants must meet the eligibility criteria and follow these steps from the time the contest is posted on the official B&B HOTELS Switzerland Instagram account13:

  • Read and agree to the terms and conditions of the rules.
  • Follow the Instagram account @bbhotels_ch.
  • Tag a bike fan in the comments and answer the question: "If you won this bike, where would you go for your very first ride in Switzerland?".

Meeting all these conditions validates the entry.

 

2.3 One Entry Per Person

The contest is limited to one entry per person. The use of multiple email addresses by the same person is considered an attempt at fraud and will result in disqualification.

 

2.4 Disqualification

Failure to comply with these conditions will invalidate a participant's entry. The organizer may verify compliance with the rules at any time, up to the point of prize delivery. Any false statement will result in immediate elimination.

 

Article 3: Winner Selection

Only participants who meet all the conditions will be included in the random drawing. The drawing will take place the afternoon after the contest ends. One participant will be selected.

The winner will be contacted via Instagram direct message within 24 hours after the contest ends. The organizer may ask for additional information to verify eligibility. Participants have seven business days from the time the message is sent to acknowledge receipt, provide any requested information, and accept the prize. If a participant does not respond within this timeframe, they will be considered to have forfeited the prize, and it will remain the property of the organizer.

 

Article 4: Prize

The prize is a Bianchi Specialissima competition bike (or an equivalent model) used by a rider on the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team. The estimated retail value is 14,000 € including tax. This value is provided as an estimate and is subject to change.

 

Article 5: Prize Delivery

The organizer's social media agency will contact the winner within seven days after the contest ends.

The organizer will arrange the bike transport to B&B HOTEL Geneva Airport in December 2025, where the winner will be able to collect it. It will be the winner’s responsibility to travel to the hotel to pick up the prize. All detailed instructions regarding collection will be communicated to the winner by email.

Prizes cannot be exchanged for money or refunded. The sale or exchange of prizes is strictly forbidden. If for any reason the organizer cannot provide the specified prize, they reserve the right to substitute it with a prize of equivalent value.

 

Article 6: Limitation of Liability

The organizer is not liable for any inability to contact the winners or for any errors in the participant's name, address, or contact details. The organizer is not responsible for any incidents that may occur from the use of the prize.

The organizer reserves the right to shorten, extend, modify, or cancel the contest without liability in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Any changes to the rules will be announced to participants and posted on the organizer's website.

Any costs incurred by participants to enter the contest are their sole responsibility. The use of bots or other mechanical processes to enter is prohibited and will result in permanent disqualification. The organizer may cancel all or part of the contest if fraud is detected and reserves the right not to award prizes to fraudulent participants.

 

Article 7: Personal Data

The organizer is responsible for processing participants' personal data collected for the contest. This data, including name, first name, and email address, is collected to manage contest registration, select winners, and deliver prizes. If postal delivery is required, the winner's mailing address will also be collected. This information is stored in a computer file and is necessary for processing the entry and delivering prizes47.

The data may be shared with technical service providers or a third-party company responsible for prize delivery. The legal basis for processing the data is for the execution of the contest contract and, for commercial purposes, the participant's consent. Data will be kept as long as necessary for the proper execution of the contest.

Participants have the right to access, correct, port, object to, and request the deletion or limitation of their data. For data protection inquiries, you can email privacy.france@hotelbb.com or contact the data protection officer at dpo-france@hotelbb.com. You may also file a complaint with a supervisory authority. The organizer uses available means to protect the security of personal information.

 

Article 8: Disputes

These rules are governed by Swiss law. Any contest-related disputes must be submitted in writing to marketing-operationnel@hotelbb.com no later than ninety days after the contest's end date. In the event of an unresolved dispute, the matter will be submitted to the competent court.
