What to see in Emilia Romagna

Emilia Romagna is a region in northeastern Italy, second in the beautiful country for the number of inhabited centers. Travel tips start from the regional capital, represented by the art city of Bologna. The B&B Hotel Bologna is an excellent choice for visitors to the city and region; thanks to public transport near the hotel, they can discover all the scenic and gastronomic beauties that Romagna has to offer.

What to see in Emilia Romagna

In the center of Bologna, tourists can stroll through the famous porticoes, which in the historic center alone cover a distance of about 38 km, before encountering the Asinelli Tower. Having climbed the 498 steps of one of Bologna's two symbolic towers, tourists can enjoy the splendid panorama, with a privileged perspective on the Basilica of San Petronio. The capital of Romagna is famous worldwide not only for its monuments and medieval village but also for its typical dishes, synonymous with good food, ragù, and lasagna.

Between Parma and Reggio

Visiting Emilia Romagna means traveling within the territory, discovering the wonderful authentic villages of the province, and getting to know the region's different typical dishes. Speaking of regional gastronomy, Parma is known worldwide for its rich culinary tradition and for the attention it places on the production of cured meats and sausages, including the very famous prosciutto crudo. In the area, you can visit the castles of the historic Duchy of Parma and Piacenza. Continuing further, you will find the Teatro Regio, an ideal place for lovers of classic Italian theater. The culinary tradition of this ancient village is shared with the nearby city of Reggio, Italy's leading producer of Parmesan cheese, and in our opinion, it is an excellent reason to visit it.

Modena

Travel tips for your tourist holiday in Emilia Romagna include visiting the city of Modena. For overnight stays, the best solutions are offered by the B&B Hotel Modena if you want to stay in the heart of the city, and the B&B Hotel Sassuolo if you also want to visit the Italian capital of ceramics. If you are looking for a place to eat, we recommend Bottura's Osteria Francescana, the highest expression of traditional Emilian cuisine, reinterpreted in a modern key.

The Riviera

The weekend in Emilia continues along the Adriatic Sea coasts, on the Romagna Riviera: the cities of Rimini and Ravenna are an excellent place to relax and recharge your batteries at the B&B Hotel Ravenna before moving to nearby Ferrara to visit it.

If you prefer to spend the night in a more cultural city, the B&B Hotel Ferrara is the ideal choice: the small city center is an excellent tourist destination for cultural holidays, thanks to its splendid buildings and palaces erected during the Renaissance by the Este family. These include the Estense Castle and the Palazzo dei Diamanti, which today houses the city's National Art Gallery.
