Mangelhaftes frühstück

Der Aufenthalt von mir und meiner Frau war insgesamt ganz in Ordnung, allerdings war das Frühstück leider ziemlich chaotisch organisiert. Es wirkte alles etwas durcheinander und es fehlte an klarer Struktur. Mehrere Geräte waren defekt, unter anderem funktionierte die Saftmaschine überhaupt nicht und auch die Kaffeemaschine lief nicht richtig, was natürlich gerade morgens für Unmut sorgt. Trotz dieser Umstände möchten wir jedoch ein großes Lob an den jungen Herrn mit den dunkelbraunen Locken aussprechen. Er hat die Situation wirklich hervorragend gemeistert. Ständig bemüht, hat er sich mehrfach entschuldigt, die Maschinen eigenständig repariert und versucht, den Gästen den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Dabei hatte man jedoch deutlich das Gefühl, dass er mit der Situation allein gelassen wurde und schlichtweg zu viel auf einmal bewältigen musste – zumal er gleichzeitig sowohl an der Rezeption als auch im Frühstücksraum im Einsatz war. Sein Einsatz, seine Freundlichkeit und seine Professionalität waren beeindruckend und letztlich der Grund, weshalb das Frühstück trotz aller Schwierigkeiten noch einigermaßen gut funktioniert hat. Ein großes Dankeschön an ihn – ohne seinen Einsatz wäre die Situation deutlich unangenehmer gewesen.

Directions to Hotel City Ost

Car: Motorway A24 to the western end, via Horner Kreisel, into Sievekingsallee and Sievekingdamm direction west, Borgfelder Straße to Anckelmannstraße, turn right into Anckelmannsplatz The B&B Hotel Hamburg City-Ost is on the right. From the south, take the B75 towards Hamburg/Lübeck, via Anckelmannstraße, turn right onto Ausschläger Weg, turn right again onto Eiffestraße to Anckelmannsplatz, the hotel is on the right.

Bus/Train: Take the S-Bahn (S1 direction Airport) or U-Bahn (U3 direction Wandsbek or U4 direction Billstedt) from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof to Berliner Tor station. Travel time is only 2 or 3 minutes. From Berliner Tor it is only a ten minute walk to the hotel.
