Welcome to the city of Kassel. Kassel is located in the middle of Germany in the federal state of Hesse. The city is popular and world-renowned for its documenta, the world's most important exhibition of contemporary art. But it’s also worth taking the time to venture to Kassel for some R&R. Take a walk through Europe’s largest hillside park, experience exciting water sports and enjoy the Aussicht am Herkules viewing point, the city’s icon. Popular shopping opportunities can be found around Königplatz. Staatspark Karlsaue Park has lots to see and do, including a planetarium, orangery and marble baths.

Location

The B&B Hotels Kassel-City is located near the A7 motorway and is easy to reach from the main train station. You can easily arrive by car or train. The hotel is very centrally located and offers the perfect starting point to explore the city. You can walk to the Fulda in about 10 minutes and go for a walk there. Kassel City Center is about 2 kilometers away. This invites you to stroll or feast in a bar or one of the numerous restaurants with international cuisine.

Directions to Hotel Kassel

A7 motorway, south-westbound: Take exit 77-Kassel-Nord towards Flughafen KS-Calden/Niestetal/KS-Stadtmitte. In 220 metres, keep right at the fork and head towards KS/Flughafen KS-Calden. Continue onto Dresdner Strasse/L3237, and in 3.4 km at the roundabout take the first exit. Exit and continue along the L3237 for 750 metres. Turn left onto Weserstrasse/B3, then turn left again onto Fuldabrücke/Brüderstrasse/L3237. In 600 metres, turn right onto Kaufunger Strasse. In 150 metres, the hotel will be on the left-hand side.

A7 motorway, northbound: Exit A49. In 4.8 km, take exit 5-KS-Auestadionm onto the “Am Auestadion/B3“ and continue towards KS-Stadtmitte. 4.4 km further along the B3, turn right onto “An der Fuldabrücke/L3237“. In 600 metres, turn right onto Kaufunger Strasse. In 150 metres, the hotel will be on the left-hand side.

From the train station: Take bus 37 towards Lohfelden-Vollmarshausen, and then it’s a 6-minute walk.
