Spend an affordable night at the heart of Europe’s musical history

 

The famous composer Richard Wagner called Bayreuth home and left an indelible mark on the city. Here you can visit the Wahnfried - his former home - as well as the Richard Wagner museum. The Richard Wagner Festival attracts a large international audience every year. A museum has also been opened in honour of the composer Franz Liszt. The restored Magravial Opera house opened its doors to visitors once again in April 2018, now with its official status as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Location

The B&B HOTEL Bayreuth is right in the heart of the city. All of the most important attractions are just a few minutes’ walk away, such as the Magravial Opera house, the New Castle, the Wahnried, the Richard Wagner Museum and the Franz Liszt Museum. If you feel like some fresh air, the Hofgarten Park is just the place to take a break. The central train station is around 1km away. The Bayreuth Festival Theatre is about a 7-minute drive away, while the University is five minutes’ drive away.

At our affordable B&B HOTEL Bayreuth, we offer single and double rooms, as well as family rooms with up to four beds. Across our 92 rooms, you can expect modern utilities and everything you need: a comfortable bed, desk, wardrobe and LCD TV. A tiled bathroom with a toilet, shower and hair dryer is included with every room. Thanks to our air-conditioning and sound-proofed windows, you can make yourself comfortable in a quiet and temperate environment.

Directions

A9 – Exit Bayreuth-Süd: Follow the B2 to Bayreuth. After about 2.3km, turn left onto Romanstraße. At the end, turn right into Richard-Wagner-Straße and continue until you reach the B&B HOTEL Bayreuth.

Keep an eye out for the Hotel route signs.

Bus/Bahn: From Bayreuth’s central train station, it’s a 12-minute walk or a 9-minute bus ride to the hotel. The Sternplatz bus stop serves 4 bus routes, and is located a little under 300m from the hotel. The Opera House bus stop is a little over 300m away and serves 9 bus routes. The Ofr Bus station is around 500m away. The sports centre can be reached with 17 bus routes.
