You can easily make your way from your plane to Nyon railway station and from there take public transport for another 10 minutes to the hotel. If taking a taxi or car, travelling time between the hotel and airport is only 20 minutes. If you are considering visiting other destinations across Switzerland and France, Nyon station is an ideal base to reach Lausanne, Annemasse and many other towns.

A hotel between Geneva and Lausanne

B&B HOTEL Nyon is excellently located in the city of Nyon on the shores of Lake Geneva, midway between Geneva and Lausanne.

While staying at our hotel, you should explore the old quarter of Nyon. There, you will find a 12th-century medieval castle that is now a museum – home to many artefacts and objects from the city and surrounding region. But beyond the castle there is plenty more to do nearby too.

For history buffs, the Nyon Roman Museum lays out the early origins of this city that was founded by the Romans. It displays relics which have been found during various archaeological digs as well as artworks and sculptures from Antiquity.

But maybe you are in Nyon for business. In that case, our hotel is a great place to stay before making your way to a conference centre or trade show located in the city centre.

In Nyon, everyone will enjoy a gentle stroll along the long avenues and charming parks, like Perdtemps in the city centre, before arriving at the shores of the lake. It is an ideal setting for long walks with exceptional vistas including a multitude of lake views. The castle is also the home to one of several attractive gardens, the Potager du Château.

Next to the UEFA headquarters is Colovray Stadium where, since 2014, the finals of the UEFA Youth League have taken place and showcased the footballing stars of tomorrow.

Slightly further afield, no guest should miss the chance to explore the town of Prangins. Also nestled beside the stunning shores of Lake Geneva, its castle became the residence of both French and Austrian royalty. So special is Prangins that the entire town is listed as a Swiss Heritage Site.

The Domaine Impérial Golf Club is a mere quarter-hour drive from Nyon, where golfers can tee off for a unique experience near the banks of Lake Geneva.

But what would be a trip to Switzerland without taking some time to taste its wines? You can travel a famous vineyard trail running through the small towns and villages from Nyon to Morges to taste the sumptuous flavours created from the vineyards while enjoying the views.

Are you looking to go hiking? Centre your attention on the Jura Mountains just across the border. During the summer, there are many trails for walks, treks or mountaineering, depending on your preference. Getting to the summit won’t matter when you can simply take in the breath-taking views surrounding you, worthy of any picture postcard.

Nyon is also well-known for its many festivals, like the yearly Paléo Festival which packs in hundreds of concerts in a few short days. For a week in the city centre, Visions du Réel exhibits short and feature-length documentaries. And music lovers can take a trip to Montreux, south of Vevey. Hosting the Montreux Jazz Festival each year, it is also where rock band Queen recorded six albums, from Jazz to Made in Heaven.
