Location

The accommodation is located directly in the (not passable) pedestrian zone in the center of Leipzig and is therefore directly in the Leipzig city center. The Old Stock Exchange and the Museum of Fine Arts are less than 5 minutes away on foot, while the Gewandhaus concert hall and Auerbachs Keller restaurant are less than 10 minutes away. Leipzig Zoo is just 1.1 km away. In the area you will find numerous restaurants & cafes which invite you to linger.

Facilities

The B&B Hotel Leipzig-City offers only modern & comfortable non-smoking rooms. You can choose between the following room types: Single, twin or double rooms for one or two people, as well as family rooms for three people. All rooms are air-conditioned, with soundproofed windows, a flat-screen TV and a desk. All bathrooms are fitted with a shower, toilet, hair dryer and wash basin.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. With our B&B breakfast buffet you’ll get off to a flying start. If you’re peckish between meals, you can buy snacks and drinks from vending machines in the hotel lobby. From the parking garage Oelßners Hof it is not far to the hotel. Our tip: Use the elevator of the parking garage; then you get out directly in the passage next door and are not far from the hotel (past the Penny, after the Italian "Andria" turn right and after a minute the hotel is on your right).    

We are renovating for you.

From the beginning of July to mid-December 2025, we will be making our hotel even more beautiful and comfortable for you. Unfortunately, this cannot be done without renovation work. We apologise for any noise during the day. At night, you can of course continue to enjoy peace and quiet with us.

Baustellen-Chaos

Zimmer im Hotel sind in Ordnung. Trotz einer langfristigen Buchung keine Information über Renovierungsarbeiten im Hotel in der Nicolaistraße in Leipzig. Baulärm bei geöffnetem Fenster und im Foyer. TV funktionierte nicht, Internet auch nicht. Es gab nur eingeschränkte Frühstücksmöglichkeiten. Service an der Rezeption schlecht. Trotzdem voller Preis.

Gute Lage und Ausstattung, Service nicht vorhanden

Gute Lage und gute Ausstattung (bequemes Bett + geräumige Dusche), Parkmöglichkeiten in Parkhaus ca. 100m entfernt (15€/ Tag) Frühstück nicht empfehlenswert (15€ p.P. für geringe Auswahl), bessere Alternativen sind sehr nahe gelegen Service ungenügend: - man wird angepflaumt, dass man mitteilen solle, wenn man mit Kleinkind anreist und trotz Vorzeigen der Bestätigung per E-Mail gibt es keine Entschuldigung, sondern nur ein genervtes Seufzen - aus Gründen der Sicherheit wird einem ein Kleinkinderbett empfohlen, dies ist dann trotz Bestätigung der Bestellung seitens des Hotels defekt/instabil und beim Checkin nicht aufgebaut - auf Bitten nach Leerung des sehr kleinen Mülleimers im Hotelzimmer wird einem nur eine Mülltüte in die Hand gedrückt, man darf dann mit Windeln im Zimmer die Nacht verbringen Aktuell (November 2025) laufen Renovierungsarbeiten, worauf man erst bei Ankunft hingewiesen wird. Dies ist uns, außer durch den mit Folie ausgekleideten Fahrstuhl, nicht aufgefallen und hat unseren Aufenthalt nicht beeinträchtigt. Ein Hinweis bei der Buchung auf der eigenen Website wäre trotzdem nett gewesen.

Directions to Hotel Leipzig City

Directions if travelling from Berlin A9: Follow the A9 direction South and take the exit direction A14. Follow the signs in the direction of Leipzig/Flughafen Leipzig/Halle/A14. At exit B23, merge onto the B2 towards Leipzig-Mitte. Follow the signs towards Leipzig Hauptbahnhof (train station). Turn left at Am Hallischen Tor. There you will find a public car park. The parking garage is approx. 230m from the Hotel Leipzig-City. There are also parking spaces available at the Oelßner’s Hof parking garage at Brühl/Ecke Ritterstraße - just 150m away from B&B Hotel Leipzig-City.

Directions from Dresden A14: Take the A14 and follow the signs for Magdeburg/Halle/Leipzig. At exit 25-Leipzig-Nordost, follow the B87 in the direction of Leipzig. Follow Eisenbahnstraße and then Brandenburger Straße. Pass the main train station, then turn left onto Am Hallischen Tor. There you will find a public car park with an ample range of parking spaces. The parking garage is approx. 230m from the Hotel Leipzig-City. There are also parking spaces available at the Oelßner’s Hof parking garage at Brühl/Ecke Ritterstraße - just 150m away from B&B Hotel Leipzig-City.

Directions by bus/train: The hotel is located about 400m from Leipzig’s main train station. After Willy-Brandt-Platz, turn into Nikolaistraße. Follow the street in the direction of the pedestrian zone. The hotel is on the left-hand side.

City tax

From 01.04.2023, the city of Leipzig charges a so-called accommodation tax for overnight guests. The tax applies to all guests staying in Leipzig. Children and adolescents up to the age of 18 are exempt from the tax. The tax is defined by the city of Leipzig and the amount is 5% of the gross overnight price.
