Hikers looking for another type of excursion can embark on an adventure by following the contours of the Dreux forest for more than 40 kilometers. Have a map for following the course that does not exceed 350 meters of positive altitude difference over the entire course.

The latter, located a few meters from the Evangelical Church of Dreux, now houses the burials of members of the House of Bourbon-Orléans, such as Louis-Philippe d'Orléans, the last king of France who reigned between 1830 and 1848.

In a completely different style, the Houdan donjon, located a 30-minute drive from Dreux, can be visited. This massive 25-meter tower located west of Yvelines served as a water reservoir for nearly a century between 1880 and 1970 before being restored to open to the public.

Another historical curiosity, the Aqueduc de l'Avre, part of whose large arcades can be admired 15 minutes from the hotel, extends over a long road of 102 kilometers and partly supplies Paris with drinking water. The river has its source at a maximum altitude of 275 meters and, thanks to the improvements made to the Aqueduct de l'Avre, follows its course as far as Paris.
