I was very disappointed with my stay at B&B Hotel in Madrid. I have stayed in other three star hotels in the Sol area that offered far better comfort, better service, and more basic amenities than this one. This hotel came across as extremely cheap and focused on cutting costs at every possible opportunity. One of the biggest problems was how little they actually provided in the room. There were not enough towels, and several basic amenities that are standard in many other hotels at this level were simply missing. It gave the whole stay a stripped down, bare minimum feeling. On top of that, the hotel pushes guests to reuse towels in the name of environmental responsibility, which would be easier to take seriously if they were not already being so stingy with towels and basic room provisions in the first place. It did not feel thoughtful or environmentally conscious. It felt like cost cutting dressed up as virtue. What frustrated me even more was the way checkout was handled. I was told in advance that checking out around 1:00 p.m. would be fine because of my late flight, and I was specifically reassured that there were more than plenty of rooms available and that I did not need to worry about checking out late. Right around the agreed checkout time, I received a call telling me I needed to leave immediately…. That kind of last second reversal is not just frustrating, it is unprofessional. If you tell a guest something is fine, you should honor it. To make matters worse, they then disabled my room card right away. I understand using key cards for elevator access and security, and that part is perfectly reasonable. But disabling the card immediately left me stuck having to wait for another guest to let me out so I could go downstairs and check out and leave. That is absurd. No hotel guest should be left in that position simply because the staff handled checkout so poorly. Overall, this hotel felt less like a place focused on hospitality and more like a place focused on saving money at the guest’s expense. The atmosphere was stingy, the service was inconsistent, and the experience was far less comfortable than what I have had at other similarly rated hotels in Madrid. I would not stay here again, and I would not recommend it to anyone expecting even a normal basic standard of comfort and professionalism.

Perfect location. Very kind and helpful staff- felt genuinely welcomed, thanks a lot! Nice rooms. Lovely to have coffee and snacks available all day. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip to Madrid :) One minor suggestion: the bathroom door could close more properly.
