B&B HOTEL Wrocław Old Town

This historic edifice was erected in 1931 based on a design by architect Heinrich Rump and remains a true architectural pearl, recognized well beyond Wrocław. The concept's author, drawing on innovative urban plans, created a building that responded to the fascination with New York skyscrapers (such as the Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center, and the Empire State Building) shared by Wrocław’s city building councilor – Max Berg, the designer of the Centennial Hall.

The building was constructed in the Modernist style with Art Deco elements. Its interiors evoke the inspiration of ocean liners – specifically the "Schiffarchitektur" style popular in the 1920s. Original elements have been preserved to this day, including the banking hall, the entire entrance area, the glass skylight (visible on the ceiling of the hotel reception), as well as lamps, balustrades, and handrails that bring to mind films set in early 20th-century New York. Furthermore, inside the building, you can view the passenger cabins of one of the oldest paternoster elevators (the elevator is not in use).
