Exploring Freiburg on foot is the best way, as the historical buildings and picturesque alleys are difficult to reach by car. You can learn more about the city's history at the medieval Schwabentor or the impressive Freiburg Minster.

In the green and environmentally friendly district of Vauban, where modern architecture, community gardens, and a Mediterranean flair dominate, you can truly experience the atmosphere of Freiburg. For the best overview of the city, visit the Kanonenplatz on the Schlossberg. Brave hikers will be rewarded with various viewpoints along the numerous hiking trails.
