The B&B Hotel Wetzlar: AFFORDABLE ACCOMMODATION IN THE HEART OF THE HALF-TIMBERED CITY

Wetzlar will appeal equally to culture vultures, connoisseurs and shopaholics. Stroll through the Old Town with its lovingly-restored timber houses and its distinctive cathedral. Without Wetzlar, there would be no Werther. When a young Johann Wolfgang Goethe travelled to Lahnstadt for an internship in 1772, he fell in love with Charlotte Buff, the daughter of a local official. Sadly, Charlotte was already engaged to someone else. His experience of unrequited love, along with the suicide of his colleague Karl Wilhelm Jerusalem, provided the inspiration for his famous novel, “The Sorrows of Young Werther.” Visit the Museum Lottehaus and Jerusalemhaus to follow in the footsteps of the poet and those he loved.

Hotel zum Wohlfühlen

Es war jetzt mein zweiter Aufenthalt im Hotel und ich habe mich wieder sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Einrichtung und Sauberkeit der Zimmer, Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter und Qualität des Frühstücksbuffet waren sehr gut.

Empfehlenswertes Hotel für einen Besuch in Wetzlar

Wir haben zum ersten Mal in einem B&B Hotel übernachtet und haben damit eine gute Entscheidung getroffen :) Was hat uns besonders gefallen: der Online-Check In vor der Anreise. Damit hatte ich den Zugangscode für das Zimmer und konnte auf den (vorher reservierten) Parkplatz fahren. Der Code öffnet auch die Schranke. Zimmerkarten gibt es nicht, zum Öffnen der Zimmertür wird nur der Code benötigt. Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, zu Fuß ist man in 10 Minuten in der Innenstadt. Gegenüber des Hotels ist ein großes Einkaufszentrum. Trotz der Lage an einer Straße war es am Wochenende ruhig und wir konnten bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen.

How to get there

From A45: Take exit 30 Wetzlar-Ost, then take the B49 in the direction of Wetzlar, Limburg. Take the Garbenheim exit, turn right onto Garbenheimer Straße in the direction of Zentrum. Take the 1st exit at the roundabout, the hotel is on the left. Free parking spaces are available directly at the hotel.

Bus/Train: From Gießen Hauptbahnhof RB15112 direction Dillenburg, get off at Wetzlar Bahnhof; from Dillenburg Bahnhof RB99 direction Frankfurt am Main, get off at Wetzlar Bahnhof; from Weilburg an der Lahn Bahnhof RB45 direction Fulda, get off at Wetzlar Bahnhof; from Wetzlar Bahnhof the hotel is within walking distance (approx. 600 m walk).
