In about two hours by car from Salzburg you can reach the highest waterfalls in Europe, the Krimml Waterfalls. But the nature in the vicinity of the city should not be underestimated either: Because the Salzburger Land is ideal for skiing and convinces with a large selection of ski areas for every level. Untersberg is a rather small ski area, but it is the closest to the city at only 10 kilometers from Salzburg.

The best way to get to Salzburg from Germany by car is via the A8 or A94. You can also reach Salzburg comfortably and easily by train. Once you have arrived at the main train station, you can use public transport to get to your final destination.
