I liked everything. The quality for the price. I'd just recommend adding something on the shower edge to prevent water from spilling to the floor and harder mattresses, but everything else is amazing. I'd stay here again!

The hotel is in a perfect location for attending events at the o2 academy. The hotel is spotlessly clean and modern. I love that they are conscious of the environment and encourage people to recycle etc. However, the room was far too hot even with the window open. We would have loved extra pillows, which are usually provided in all other hotels we have stayed in. I also emailed prior to our stay to ask about the restaurant and food options for an evening meal and was assued they had plenty of choice. As we were pushed for time, we planned ti eat here. Upon arrival to the restaurant, the doors were closed, chairs were on tables and there were no staff here whatsoever. We enquired at reception and they insisted that it was open?! The menu they provided was extremely limited anyway, so off the local convenience store for a pot noodle and crisps. Not ideal but didn't really have any other option at this point. We checked the restaurant again on our way upto the room. It was definitely closed, so not sure why reception said it was open. I would stay here again, but would definitely allow time to eat elsewhere.

Lovely room, though lighting takes a bit of getting used to as lights are either all on or completely off (so can't for example turn just the bathroom light on dieing the night, without bedroom lights also coming on and risking waking others). Temp control also not as effective as it could have been - couldn't reduce it below the pre-set temp). When I asked Reception staff for advice they said "Just turn it off and eventually it will cool down"..... but even this wasn't effective so had to wedge open the bedroom door and open the one bedroom window (raining!) to cool room down. None off which would stop me booking this hotel chain next time, but for people like myself, for whom temp control can make a big difference to overall quality of sleep, felt it was worth sharing.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel has a lovely fresh, modern decor with a smart, simple accessible layout including a bar downstairs and comfy lounge and restaurant on the first floor. Breakfast was great value with every taste and diet catered for. The hotel was immaculately clean in all areas. Room was perfect size, simple with everything you need for a short stay. Location was great as a starting point for all attractions and city centre in general. We will definitely stay again.

Fabulous hotel set up- very modern, good size room, very friendly staff. A great choice being so close to Birmingham City Centre
